2-minute book review!

The Waking Dark  by Robin Wasserman
There is something in the town of Oleander that is waking up. Something evil. Something that causes ordinarily kind human beings to do horrible things. The whole town is self-destructing and only 5 people are still sane enough to do something about it: Jule, a young girl from an ostracized family, Jeremiah, who is conflicted within himself, Daniel, son of a disturbed preacher, Cass, who committed a horrible crime and has no idea why she did it, and Ellie, a young girl who endured terrible sacrifice at the hands of her parents and a church deacon. Together, these young people fight to save their town and to just survive the madness that is building with each moment.
I am a huge horror fan, and this book did not disappoint at all! The story hits the ground running and never lets up. It is an incredibly dark and creepy story that sneaks up on you and scares you when you least expect it. Gory at times, this one is not for the faint of heart. Keep the lights on!
